The Adelphi Theatre
The Adelphi Theatre is situated on The Strand in London. It was opened in November 1806, when it was called the Sans Pareil, before changing it's name to The Adelphi in 1819. The building was replaced in 1858, and has also been called New Adelphi and Royal Adelphi. The current building was redesigned by Ernest Schaufelberg in 1930. The Adelphi has had some great plays shown there, including Me and My Girl, and of course the long running Chicago, which became the theatres longest running play ever in 2005!.
