The Apollo Victoria
The Apollo Victoria Theatre was built in 1930 and was originally called the New Victoria Cine Variety Theatre. The cinema closed in 1975, only to reopen in 1981 hosting live entertainment. Shirley Bassey opened the new venue, and it has also seen productions of The Sound of Music and Fiddler on the Roof to name but a few. The theatre hosted Starlight Express for 8 years and the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Bombay Dreams opened in 2002. The nearest underground station is Victoria
